Meet the Team
Kate Broadbent
Having just finished her A-levels, Kate’s taking a gap-year to focus on her racing. Kate’s been driving in the Medway Valley Kart Club’s Senior Rotax championship, and the Club 100 Experience lightweight championship, and will be looking for even more racing opportunities during her gap year.
She’s racing as a privateer in Senior Rotax with her Dad looking after and maintaining her two Tony Karts.
Although relatively new to karting, Kate has been doing motocross, enduro and trials since she was 12, and she’s entered the 6-hour ladies Dawn to Dusk enduro race in 2024.
Thomas Wong
Thomas started karting in August 2023. Keeping himself busy outside of University, he quickly learned at TeamSport Harlow and then TeamSport Mitcham.
As a regular driver at Mitcham, he became the second fastest lightweight driver after Dante Dhillon.
In March this year, Thomas began transitioning from indoor to outdoor karting, competing in endurance races at tracks such as Milton Keynes, Buckmore Park and Rye House. Thomas is particularly enjoying the Super 90 Championship at Rye House.
In his free time, Thomas practically lives at Rye House doing loads of arrive and drives. He dabbles in photography and video editing, goes for long drives in his car, and enjoys eating loads of junk food!
Jakub Siedacz
Nathaniel Marson
Manager, mechanic, and jack of all trades at Teamsport in Harlow, Nathaniel has a two-year ambition to simply get faster and faster at karting!
His favourite track, Rye House, is only minutes away from work, and not a week goes by without Nathaniel appearing at Rye for race and practice.
The film he loves most is Rush. You’ll have to come along and see him on track to figure out whether he’s a James Hunt or a Niki Lauda.
The F1 Team he follows most? Yes, it’s McLaren. And yes, that’s a McLaren baseball cap he’s wearing in the photo!

“I get appalled when I see good drivers being left on the sidelines because they haven't come up with the half million to a million to put themselves in a competitive car.”
