Kate did far better than she'd hoped with Club 100 today. She was hoping to finish in the top ten. Well, she qualified P4 for the first race and finished P6, and then, due to an amazing lap time in the first race, qualified P2 for the second race and finished that race in P9. That meant P6 overall. And that's P6 in a grid of 35 testosterone pumping males. A fabulous performance, and far better than she'd hoped for. But, she thought she could have done better. She just didn't master the first turn. Sometimes she'd nail the apex. Sometimes she'd go in fast and use the track limits. And sometimes she'd just go too wide. Not the consistent Kate I'm used to. And when she went wide, the competition would sneak through. That turn was her bête noire. If she'd got it right all the time, who knows what her final place would've been. But it was a good couple of races, and that P2 qualifying lap was amazing. So let's see what will happen at out next Club 100 session at Buckmore. Hopefully no bête noires there.
