Not everyone wants the next iPhone. Yes, some people sleep on the pavement to be first in the queue when the next model is released. But most of the 20% of the world's population that have an iPhone are quite happy with the one they've got.
If you opened up this post hoping to get an insight into the specs of the iPhone 25, sorry.
But, there is a Tony Kart 25 chassis on the way. We recently swapped our kart's front panel, the Nassau panel (see earlier blog post), to make our Tony Kart 17 look like a Tony Kart 24 (and it does reputably make the kart 0.5s faster). And we no longer stick out on the grid. Do we want to do another cosmetic upgrade to get that 25 look? Probably not. It will be expensive, and I think I'd rather spend the money on tires, plugs, sprockets, chains, air filters and all manner of things that definitely do make the kart faster. And Kate keeps breaking things. It's not her fault. The track is bumpy, she's going flat out, and people keep crashing into her. Further investigation into the cracked clutch drum revealed a completely brocken sprocket holder (see pic). So, nope, we'll stick with the 24 look. And to be honest, I'm not sure I like the 25 look. It does look a bit dainty, especially with that yellow daisy flower-like number panel on the nose. And I want that Dodge Caliber look. Do you remember the 2007 ad? A sweet panel of fluffy animals give their verdict on the new Dodge Caliber. "It doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy", "I find it dark and disturbing", "It's neither cuddly nor wuddly" the animals say. And then the sales lady asks Binky what he thinks, and Binky says "It's just made we wet my pants". The executive's response? (He's watching the whole thing on camera.) "Perfect!" And the advert strapline? "The all new Dodge Caliber. It's anything but cute."
We have the 24 look. It's anything but cute.
Mind you, it will be interesting to see how many cute 25s are on the grid when the Medway Valley Kart Club's Winter Series kicks off in January.
And maybe there is a market for iPhone shell upgrades to give you that next model look without the next model cost.
I vote Dodge caliper all the way!😁
