Don't worry. It's not a bone, it's a clutch lever. It was bound to happen. Kate can only just reach the ground with her TC. It's a good thing for enduro and motocross where most of the riding is done standing up. But, when Kate stops, she needs to think about her feet, and has to slide lady-like off the seat to get one foot on the ground. And, if she doesn't think about it, she falls off. And that's what happened. She fell off, the bike fell over, and the clutch lever did exactly what it was supposed to do, it snapped (rather than pierce something or someone).
We had a spare. Some twiddling with a couple of 8mm spanners and the spare is fitted, and she's off to do more scary enduro stuff. I've just ordered another clutch lever...
