Kate's bleary eyed this morning. Usually, if we have to get up early, it's to travel to a race track somewhere. But today we're off to King's College Hospital for a 7.45am appointment for Kate to get her left knee scanned in an MRI machine.
Why? I hear you ask. Well she squashed her knee in a karting accident at TeamSport Mitcham about a year ago. It was a full speed squash with knee between steering wheel and another kart. Nothing broken, but the bruising was impressive. Recovery was as the medics expected, but we have had to make a number of trips to hospital, and this last trip is the consultant's way of showing Kate that everything is now better.
So, yes it's early in the morning, but the nurse Angela couldn't have been more efficient and caring, and I'm expecting Kate out soon with a smile on her face.
